Where to Find The Best Gold Prospecting Supplies

Death Valley National Park, California (8) 작성자 Ken Lund

Welcome to the next section of the first part of my guide on Making Gold in World of Warcraft. If you have not read my previous article, please click here. Today we will be talking about how the other eight professions can be used that we call Crafting professions. We will go in alphabetical order starting with a description of the profession and then how it can be used as a money maker and where the benefits and problems are.

---( Alchemy )---

Description: Mix potions, elixirs, flasks, oils and other alchemical substances (usually liquid) using herbs and other reagents. The concoctions you create can temporarily ward against any kind of magic and power any attribute. Most recipes require various types of vials. High level alchemists can also transmute essences and metals into other essences and metals. Alchemists can specialize as a Master of Potions, Master of Elixirs, or a Master of Transmutation.

Money Making: As an Alchemist you can create potions to heal others and give them mana -- dependent on the server you can sometimes make a good profit off this. You also have the ability to make Elixirs that increase stats (Sometimes good for those players who haven't hit the stat cap and want a substitute it temporarily). Transmutation is a topic that isn't that greatly known by me. The easiest way for me to say this is a money maker is how it is actually a money saver (Potions!).

Benefits: The only benefits I can find is it keeps you in good stock with potions to heal you.

Problems: It doesn't seem as rewarding as just selling the herbs themselves.

---( Blacksmithing )---

Description: Smith various metal weapons as well as mail and platearmor and other useful trade goods like keys, shield-spikes and weapon chains to prevent disarming. Blacksmiths can also make items from stone to temporarily buff weapons. Blacksmiths can specialize as armorsmiths or weaponsmiths, with further specialization available for weaponsmiths as a swordsmith, axesmith, or a hammersmith. Blacksmiths can also socket one-handed weapons, bracers, and gloves.

Money Making: Blacksmithing is a great tool for keeping you geared, this will also help you save money on weapons and armor but at the same time, when you hit up the epics -- most of them are only there for the blacksmith. It does allow you to get temporary buffs and make keys but again, it's mostly just for the blacksmith itself.

Benefits: You can easily keep gear up to date if need be, you can also create greens and blues for disenchanting.

Problems: It still doesn't pay off on it's own.

---( Enchanting )---

Description:Extract magical dusts, essences and shards for use to enchant various attributes, powers, and properties to all sorts of equipable items. Enchanters can also make a few low-level wands, as well as oils that can be applied to weapons providing a temporary buff. All Enchanters make their own magical rods which they need in order to cast enchantments. The disenchanting ability available to all enchanters could be considered the "gathering complement" to enchanting.

Money Making: Enchanting is an amazing tool as it gives you use for the greens and blues that you find from drops (I wouldn't recommend disenchanting purples). The supplies you get from disenchanting can be sold on the AH as raw materials pretty well. The enchants themselves also help for questing (More survivability, Faster killing, etc). In the beginning it will be slow but at the end when you get Mongoose as an enchant, you will be able to make a lot of gold very fast.

Benefits: Gives a use for 0random greens and blues as well as in the end being able to get a lot of gold off one enchant.

Problems: Pretty slow and rough start.

---( Engineering )---

Description: Engineer mechanical devices, trinkets, guns, ammunition, goggles, and explosives, such as grenades, explosive sheeps, mechanical pets. Pretty much, being a Engineer gives you all sorts of unconventional and sometimes useful abilities. Usually these items are crafted with metal, minerals, and stone. Most engineering products can only be used by engineers. While not as profitable as the other professions, Engineering is often taken to be one of them most entertaining ones. Engineers can specialize as Goblin or Gnomish engineers.

Money Making: The motorcycle is going to be worth usually around 10m (At least that is what it's worth on my server)

Benefit: Fun Toys!

Problems: A huge amount of work involved.

---( Inscription )---

Description: Create glyphs that modify existing spells and abilities for all classes. Also creates buff scrolls which were previously only looted items and some offhand books which often provides different spells. A scribe can also create vellums for storing enchantments performed by Enchanters in, scrolls which can teleport the scribe around in the world (usually a tad randomly) and Darkmoon Cards. Inscription comes with the ability to mill herbs to create pigments, needed to craft inks.

Money Making: Some glyphs will sell very well in the AH especially at higher levels (80).

Benefit: You can create your own Glyphs which will help with leveling.

Problems: It's not the best profession to work with.

---( Jewelcrafting )---

Description: Craft rings, necklaces, BoP trinkets, jeweled headpieces and all kinds of powerful gems giving all kinds of attributes to be placed in special armor or weapons. No matter what class you are, being a Jewelcrafter is always useful as powerful NoP-gems can improve any stat and attribute you need. The extra ability of Prospecting comes with this craft, which allows you to prospect rare minerals from raw ore (that has been mined but not smelted), thus supplying you with the raw gems you need.

Money Making: Cutting gems can give you a good income.

Benefit: You will get +32 (I think) gems that only you can wear which are very nice

Problems: You have to pay money to get it up usually.

---( Leatherworking )---

Description: Work leathers and hides using such items as thread and salts into goods such as leather armor and armor kits. Leatherworkers can also make very low level cloth capes and, after level 40, sets of mail armor. Other things they can craft are different bags, drums giving various buffs and abilities, and riding crops. Leatherworkers can specialize into Dragonscale, Elemental, or Tribal Leatherworking.

Money Making: The bags are great for selling

Benefit: The bags will help you with collecting so you can make more bags to contain more mats.

Problems: Slow profession and not much fun.

---(Tailoring )---

Description: Sew all sorts of cloth goods, including cloth armor and many kinds of bags. Also weave raw cloth items such as linen cloth into bolts of that type of cloth. Other crafted goods are nets to slow enemies with, flying blankets to ride on, and magical threads which empowers items they are attached onto. Usually requires various types of thread to make finished items. Tailors can specialize into Spellfire, Shadoweave, or Mooncloth Tailoring.

Money Making: The bags that can be made sell for a very high price.

Benefit: A magic carpet that you can ride.

Problems: Boring and the mats are sort of hard to farm.

---( Conclusion )---

I want to apologize for how long it took me to write this, I was having computer problems and I got very frustrated with the whole thing so I ended up stopping it. The professions are there for you to use but it is not wise to use ones that have the special benefits just for that benefit because you will not be able to get them on your main (Unless you decide to place it on your main). If you were to get a profession from here I would recommend Leatherworking so when you skin you can make something out of the mats. Though the mats are worth more by themselves.

Gold rings are very different than gold nuggets since they're usually alloyed with other types of metal. They are normally near to the surface and sometimes can't be tuned out or chosen for having a notch filter even with the best metal detector. By far the right place to look for gold rings is at the beach. Specifically in the shallows on the dropping tide in a popular resort area. The reason is because many vacationers do not realize that the colder watercan make their fingers shrink and unsuspectingly lose their highly valuable ring jewelry.
